Dr. Kim Golden

DVM, DACVIM

Dr. Golden grew up in Rhode Island. She developed a passion for animals at a young age and knew early on that she wanted to become a veterinarian. Her lifelong dedication to animal care led her to pursue a veterinary degree at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts, followed by clinical training at the University of Florida, where she discovered a strong interest in internal medicine. After graduating, Dr. Golden completed a one-year small animal rotating internship at Bay Area Veterinary Specialists in California and a one-year internal medicine internship at Memphis Veterinary Specialists. She then went on to complete a three-year internal medicine residency at BluePearl Veterinary Partners in Michigan. Dr. Golden practiced in Texas and New York before returning to warmer weather in Florida. She worked at ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital before founding Golden Veterinary Internal Medicine, a mobile specialty practice focused on bringing internal medicine expertise directly to patients and their primary care veterinarians. Her clinical interests include feline medicine, gastroenterology, and immune-mediated diseases. She has a special place in her heart for senior pets, cats, and pit bulls. Outside of work, Dr. Golden enjoys traveling, weightlifting, paddleboarding, and spending time outdoors. She shares her home with two beloved cats, Fireball and Goose. At home, Fireball and Goose—her two mischievous cats—make sure life is never dull.
