To all our clients, due to supply and manufacturing problems with Royal Canin, there is a shortage and a delay in getting these prescription diet products. As such for those of you that are currently buying any of the Royal Canin prescription diets for your pets, due to this shortage, it has compounded our ability to consistently obtain your pet’s prescription diet through Royal Canin.

Since there is no expected date for this to change, we have taken a proactive approach to solving this problem by finding comparable diets made by other reputable manufacturers that are consistently available. As you may know Royal Canin, Hills and Purina veterinary diets do require veterinarian approval. In the case in buying comparable diets that are made for the same medical issue/concern, the ingredients and calorie content may be different and adjustments to food volume may be necessary.

We are here to help answer any questions you have. If you are transitioning, whenever possible, it is helpful to have a 3-5 day transition when changing your pet’s food.
